I just started using PCSX2 (v. 0.9.8) this morning....loaded up everything and started playing Dynasty Warriors 4...Anytime I approach a crowd of enemies the gameplay slows to a crawl...EE jumps to 100% and fps drops to anywhere from 30-47.....I honestly don't think it's my rig so i'm assuming I'm doing something wrong i'm configuring it incorrectly or something....any help?

I am running fullscreen on a 1080p TV over DVI cable I can switch to HDMI but i don't think thats the problem

I've tried running speedhacks but the improvement was minimal

Dynasty Warriors games can get pretty heavy.

Have you tried Speedhacks, or considered overclocking? A maxed out EE% when slow-down occurs usually indicates a CPU bottleneck.

Also, what have you set the internal res to? Just making sure it's nothing too excessive.
Also, keep in mind that all the DW games had slowdown and lag on the actual PS2 itself.
