the same vc error?? have u check the hdd with the manufacter tools?? another option would be a low format(if the hdd had bad sectors).

OK the same problem appeared again ( fixed after the complete format )

Install the x86 or 32-bit version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008/2010 only even if he has the 64-bit OS.
you might been lacking something e.g. DirectX updates and/or installing inside the Windows privilage folders(C:\windows,C:\program files,C:\users)better take them out.
this error also occurs if you just download individual msvc files and place them in the appdir
reads like a rare version conflict cause you ***** up the runtimes. just stick and download from the official M$ website to make sure it works and you's not dl and running stupid relabeled runtimes that bug. if it's still there mail M$ about it. they might wanna think about it.
