Long Time Lurker, but signed in because I couldn't find a solution.

The stats:
Tried on two different ISO's. One dub and one undub - same problem.
Newest PCSX2
Good PC that I've ran Persona 4 on without a problem. Played 80 hours without a problem
Good settings

So I play through the beginning, make it to the 3rd day and when I enter the first battle, everything shows up except the menu system. Music, framerate and the clicking noise when the menu should appear works, but the menu doesn't come up or allows me to choose anything.

What pcsx2 says is after I load a save, which I saved right before the event. Previously. there was no errors if I didn't save.

It happens without a save.

And there is no memory card, working off pcsx2's save state

Yeah, what jes said is that the save state is corrupted.

This means that if you have no memcard save, you're screwed and have to start a new game.

I'm saying that I have restarted over 7 times now

First it happened as I save state in the very start
The second I didn't save at all
The Third I reset my settings and started from the first save
The fourth I started new with reset settings and the Persona Patch in the pcsX2 options
I got another P3fes iso and tried that with reset settings
Then tried the patch
Then tried at optimal settings without patch and deleted all saved and started fresh

it has always said the memory card error, even when I played Persona 4


Is there anyone who knows anything specific to Persona 3 FES

could be a scratch on your disc then.
can you please post the emulog.txt ?

No the disk I have, undub is perfect and my friend's is perfect also

there is no problem with the rip.

Is there any patch or fix that needed to be used with Persona 3 fes?
