Welcome
I have an issue with God of war 2. My game freezes when Kratos is killing Icarus. Can somebody go to next checkpoint?

The region doesn't matter for this game(I also have different region).
You just have to rename the Root/ID and the save to your version=>put the save into the memory card=>load it=>go to the next save point=>save=>export the save=>rename it again but this time to his version names and put the save again to the card
