If you look carrefully 4 and 7 are unstable You probably have the core too, just try the previous one and it will pull it as dependency

I seem to have the same problem. I get the same messages from the game. I use Linux 10.04.3 and have a Lenovo i5 (2,66ghz), 4gb ram with a nvidia 310m 512m video card. What is my problem? I should get that newer, unstable version? If so, where do i get it?

The unstable version is on the same PPA. Or you can manually compile from trunk.
