So the compatibility list says Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is PLAYABLE,

and agreeably I am able to scroll through the menu and even parts of the game at 55-60 FPS, but when I go to first person mode or the view is more panoramic it drops to 25-35 FPS. This is kinda slow. What is your experience with this game?

By the way I am using the speed hacks and D3D10 mode in the GSDX plugin.

MY RIG:

core2duo E8400 Overclocked @ 3.6Ghz

Nvidia 9800 GTX+ 512mb

Corsair DDR2 4Gb ram @ 1066Mhz

Windows 7 ultimate

This is what playable mean

You can get from 'new game' to 'end credits'. This is regardless of FPS, it simply means you could with a great deal of patience, complete the game! eg: Slow, but stable!

Some games may run really slow, other above normal speed but you will be able to play the whole game
that game is a heller demand needs around the CPU's megathurst power of 5Ghz.
try set native might help pick up little speed. and set all clamp mode to none

for games like this it is better to play just the PS2->PC port.
