Yeah - with that laptop, you're more than likely going to be able to play most PC games. Especially because the HD6770M is a very nice graphics chip. Just keep in mind that of course, PC games are optimized for the PC and as such PS2 and really any other console's emulation is going to be a lot slower.
Yeah bit sad Sad oh well.

How cheap do you reckon I could get a PCSX2 machine for?

I'm going for something like this maybe.
keep in mind this is real rough.
AMD something 3.6ghz dual core
4GB ddr3
1GB mid speed GPU
500GB HDD
Probally need custom heatsinks, decent case etc.
because that is probally an overclocked processor im going
for.
Actually could I get a 512mb fast chip? anyway.
The most important thing you'll need is your CPU; most 1GB GPUs can run most games at full speed - I use an ATI 5770. Works great.

PCSX2 works best with Intel, not AMD, although.

I would recommend getting this cpu and overclocking it; that is the most popular option.

As for RAM, you won't need that much; however it's a good amount if PCSX2 isn't the only thing you're doing. You'll need about 2GB for PCSX2 at most.

Of course, the HDD doesn't matter if you have free space. A 5200 RPM will do you just fine with any amount of space you decide on.

Edit: Changed the CPU link. That one starts at a lower clockrate but does not matter if you overclock.
0_0 I don't want this too expensive, any i3 model with decent clockage which I could overclock?
I put up a CPU that is 2/3s as expensive, but starts at a 100Mhz less clockrate. Doesn't matter if you overclock, though.

How's that?
Seems more reasonable to me.
On another note the 4GB is so I dont
build a PC which is good for PS2 Emulation
only. Now im going to go make some money
xD
Thanks for all the help man.
