Full Version: Did Formatting My Memory Cards Mess Up My Emu?

So I had PCSX2 up and running great with my computer.

i7 processor, Radeon HD 5650 GPU, 4GB RAM (more details can be provided if necessary).

I was running Time Splitters 2 at a solid 50 FPS. I closed down the emu, then reopened and formatted my memory cards. I noticed after I did this, my emulations started running around 40 FPS in the menu screen. Even the "Playstation 2" text that pops up before every PS2 game drops to like 30 FPS.

I'm wondering if the two are related.

Has anyone else had/heard of this issue? Thanks!
Never heard of the issue Tongue2

try ejecting your memory cards, see if the issue persists
Is this a laptop...?

Yes, this is a laptop
Also, I noticed this popped up in the console whenever the "Playstation 2" text appears that I didn't notice before my issues:

GIFTAG warning, size exceeded VU memory size 400

Can anyone recognize this error?
^that's just a warning, it's typical role in emulation is to be ignored. xD You can use fast boot unless you enjoy looking at PS2 logo every time it boots a game. As it's a laptop and your slowness problem any chance you are on battery now?Tongue
