I still don't understand how to enable MTVU. the site that Register linked to doesn't have an available download for anything called "MTVU" that I could find.

Ah thanks, I was confused at first and thought each of those downloads was an individual plugin or hack.
The MTVU setting does seem to have an improvement in the performance, thanks!
