Did anybody ever find a way to boot this after the freeze after choosing your memory card? I saw some people post on how to fix the US version and PAL version, but is there any way to fix the Japan version?

Also, by the way, would I be getting better play with PCSX2 on my new macbook, windows xp, or windows 7?

the usa version worked for me in the 1888 beta pcsx2, try the jap one in this beta, it may work..

It works for me. Just try the latest svn pcsx2, current stable pcsx2 version can't help...
