Hello guys,

I have Windows 7 home premium:

CPU: 2nd generation core i5
Graphics: Intel 3000 HD (no dedicated card)
3 GB ram

I can run pcsx2 but when I try to open the game it freezes and crashes!

Please let me know,
aryan
w/o a dedicated card it still run at 0.3 speed
best to have a dedicated vid-card if you want 1.0.

I want to run God of war 2 in lowest settings..... but it crashes after I press run CD/DVD

I am using Direct3d software settings.....any ideas?
what settings should I use? why is it crashing? please tell me!
Code:
Intel 3000 HD
That's a pain, unless you wish to play only some simple games and with native res, or if you're really sure your cpu can handle software as just "i5" doesn't say too much about it;p.

For crash make sure you have latest Direct X and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86), as that's probably GSdx crashing, if you use svn versions you'll probably need VS2010 redistributable too.

Thank you! I had an older version of Pcsx2....... I updated and installed the most recent version. It is not crashing now! yey!

But I still can not run the game. A screen just comes up and says "please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation2 format disc"......I have set the iso from CDVD->Iso Selector->god of war.iso!

Please help!

use the CDVD plug-in instead the pcsx2's internal ISO selector.

Doesnt work too....I have tried the following CDVD plugins

Linuz ISO CDVD 0.9.0

and

cdvdGigaherz (r4510) 0.8.0

It gives me the same message.....Please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc.....

Could it be that the iso file is not good or does it not run because my PC specs are not very good! (it should have at least run in my opinion....what do you say?)
did you try to use fast boot instead of full boot ?
