I know this is an old thread but I still have a suggestion. The first thing you need to do (since you seem to have some uncertainty about running windows on mac) is to install all the Apple-provided Windows drivers. They're on your Mac OS X install disc (or if you have mountain lion, just download them from Apple). Just google "boot camp download" and you'll find it. Once you have those drivers installed, THEN you can try to address any remaining problems.
