Hey guys, I hope this forum is still active.
I got a question though.

If I wanna play Final Fantasy XII from its original DVD, can my computer support it? Can I play it really well and smooth?

This is my rig.

Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU
P8400 @ 2.26GHz
1.58 GHz, 1.96GB of RAM

EDIT: OMG, please somebody reply.

it pass only the minimum thus you won't get smooth speed since you are running ff12
try this tweaky guide.

So it won't run smooth?
I just don't wanna slow. That is all.
What cause my computer rig is not good for the emulator?

2.26Ghz is not enough all you need to reach 3.2Ghz to attain recommended speeds.
otherwise as i said before use that tweaky guide:

**what is your video card btw?

Maybe my video card is Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family?

And beside, how bout if my GHz is 2.99?
we found the problem pal is this one

no wonder that video card is too weak for pcsx2.
sorry it can't indeed run smoothly because of the intergrated card.
best get a strong desktop/laptop soon..
why not stay playing at your actual ps2 for the momment until you got a new laptop or desktop.

2.99 will help, however that graphics card is quite horrid as are all onboard graphics cards.
tallbender, my PS2 already broken down since a years ago. I don't wanna fixed it anymore.

what is really matter when it comes to emulator, the GHz or the graphic card?

EDIT: how bout this rig?

Processor: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU E6500 @ 2.93GHz 1.87 Ghz
Installed memory (RAM): 1.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (Service Pack 3)
Video Card: Intel® G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (Suck)
That's even worse than the first one ;p

BTW there is no service pack 3 for windows 7, not even a service pack 2 yet.

Yes Video Card Sucks. Tongue2 When did microsoft release SP3?? Unsure

CPU/GPU both are not much good for pcsx2. So buy a better PC with Intel Core I processor and Nvidia/ATI Graphics Card. Smile
