I only have 2GB of RAM on Windows 7 64 and I can get full speed with KH2 and a few other games. I am planning on upgrading to 16GB soon.
Will more RAM help with PCSX2?
not really. the speed of the ram is kinda important tho.
btw. what you need 16GB for? have you ever seen a program using that much? if you'd open alot of ram hungry productive apps you'd maybe need it but else.. 8GB, even 4GB are enough for most things.
Well thats how much my MoBo can hold and its only $70.

Actually it's not.
There is no difference in fps between DDR2 667 and 800 and neither DDR3 1333 and 1600.
I already tested that.
CPU power is most important for PCSX2.
And GPU power if you want to play games in HD.

Going from 1333 to 1600 may give you like a 1-2% FPS boost, and that's IF the 1600 RAM has tight timings. Good 1333 can outperform mediocre 1600. As for RAM size, doesn't matter. 4GB is still enough, 8GB if you do stuff like Photoshop
well I did also noticed a slight FPS profit of having faster memory and now I run with 8 Gigs and it makes a slight, but still a little profit

the performance of an overclocked i7 hits a ceiling if the ram cannot keep up.
