After 5 years with the same PC I've just recently updated mine with the following:

i5 2500
GTX460
6GB 1600Mhz

At last pcsx2 runs games at 60fps, tested Valkyrie Profile 2.
The question is, what are the settings that improve visual quality in games?

Thank you.
in GSDX options click on scaling, and select anything higher then native.
Or, increase the internal resolution. I just go with the native option.
I've set it to 2x or 3x native but the window size stays the same. Do I have to change something else?
use "Stretch"

If you want to increase the window size, under "Emulation Settings"
go to "GS Window" and change "Window size"

No, that stretches the aspect ratio only..
IIRC Valkyrie Profile 2 didn't seem like it responded much, if at all, to up-scaling until you get up there a bit. It didn't even seem to effect performance up til then, either.
Thank you. Now it looks a lot better.

I do have a game related question, I've seen a lot of posts about the speed of Shadow of the Colossus and I get decent speed, but the game looks kinda foggy, any way to alleviate that?
Is it possible?
An alternative plugin was discussed in the big "Shadow of the Colossus!" thread. It should be easy to find the thread, but you'll have to search through it.

I also think there was a hack/fix implemented in recent SVN. You could check that out, too.
