Raccomanded hacks + 1 tick on the Vu cycle bar

The problems i have appear on all the 3 games.
1) During (gameplay) cutscenes when the game change the camera with the speed-Effect, the top and bottom black borders disappear for few seconds (this should not happen), is this a bug? (i did try hardware mode, the stable 0.9.8 pcsx2 version, disable all hacks, but nothing worked).

2) Alkaid cloths, during some cutscens and actualygame play flickering/disappear randomly, is this another bug? (i did try the same stuff as point 1, and nothing here either)

Last thing, is normal with my comp during rangeki, awakenings,arena, some avatars spells, and in general when many spells effects appear at once, my fps go down to 30-40 fps? i know using sw mode is a lot more heavy, but my cpu should be capable of handle it.. or not?

Software mode man...is alot tougher, your CPU would be enough in HW mode...but SW mode..hrm.

Keep in mind your GPU is limited a 5850 here as well, as it doesn't support Crossfire, and your card is just two GPU's on one die.

Use DX11 for the best speed, DX9 for most compatibility. Also the VU / EE rates and whatnot can report false FPS / cause issues. I recommend only enabling the recommended ones + MTVU and nothing else for optimal compatibly. A few months ago when I tried this on my old Q6600 @ 3.4GHZ, I got full FPS almost all the time, only a few cutscenes gave me less...and during battle I could get 80FPS with the limiter disabled...

It's not that intense a game, but I ended up playing it on my PS2 due to the pre-rendered cutscenes looking terrible, worse than on my TV. So much aliasing I could not even SEE the character

Ok, so i guess is normal my fps drop on the heavy situations.. but what about the 2 bug/gliches? happen to you too, or is just something only i experienced?

bugs:

1: happens all the time only SW mode can fix it
2: that's normal even on the PS2, some minor glitches they never tested

as for rangeki etc the game does slow down, it's not an FPS decrease, it's how the game was coded.

Ehm.. i am using SW mode and the bug number 1 didnt not get fixed at all in sw, and bug 2 is not a ps2 glitc, since there not happen at all.


If bug number 1 for you is fixed in sw can you tell me wich pcsx version/setup you use? Thanks.

I've played all 3 games twice on my PS2 and her clothes never disappeared.

did on mine sometimes..

which PS2 model?

PS2 FAT. Original from 2001, had it since then.

Never had her clothes disappearing too on PS2 fat, wish I had though.
