whats the beta version? dont ban me if i asked something wrong..

It was before 0.9.8 was released, something in between releases to keep people happy We don't do beta releases anymore, you can get the latest SVN development builds from our site though.

what does SVN mean? n also do tell that if i install a new pcsx2 when it is released, will it remove the current settings, save states n memory card?

SVN is for subversion, google it if you want to learn more. Save states will probably not be compatible with newer versions. You can keep your memcards by copying the files in your memcards directory and then replacing the ones of the new PCSX2
