+1 tallbender. Some screenshots will definitely help.

the best is you delete that 0.9.2 version you have there and do a intense malware and virus check.

if you done with that download the latest official version from that link here. then you extract it with winrar or 7zip and run the pcsx2.exe that you got in that directory you just extracted to.

if that doesn't help getting further you's really.....

just for clarity did you mean delete or uninstall?
ive read tht its a plugin thing, so either just use the ISO option
or use Linuz ISO CD/DVD plugin. Really dont need mounting software.

he can't he did that already then the 0.9.2 was came back i'm sure is a click-2u virus may effect also the PS2 bioses.
best to reformat your hard drive..and get a fresh copy of 0.9.8 and a fresh copy of PS2 bios from your PS2 console.
Well, I followed [pro] pcsx2's advice and I no longer get the error! So that's great. Furthermore I was given an option to play a game...but when ii tried is said to insert a playstation format disc. believe at this point it's an issue of the game I'm trying to use or how I'm going about it rather. Just a guess
so it's not a virus then but still you must use 0.9.8 and beyond in order to get support
