Full Version: Okami - Paint screen is glitched - Help!

Hello everyone, new user here to the forums.

My Okami for PCSX2 MAC runs fine, except for the paint screen.
It is glitched in the fact that I can't see what I'm painting.
I CAN paint actually, but I have to do so blindly.
ie: I hold R1, the paint mode activates, but what should be the viewable canvas background is a glitched mess of strange graphics.
However, the brush and frame of the paint mode are visible.
And as I said, painting works, I just paint blindly by memory of where I last saw things on screen (difficult).

I've tried mass of amounts of different setting, and strange as it is, the "Okami fix" setting in the graphics section actually makes the game worse and breaks the right side of the screen completely.

Nothing seems to fix the paint mode though. It's a mess.

Does any one have any ideas or encountered the same thing?

Specs:
Macbook Pro 2.33 dual Intel
4GB RAM, CPU speed 2327MHZ

Thank you.
What video plugin are you using?
Of course, these are the plugins I've been using.

Graphics
ZZ Ogl PG 0.1.0
ZZ Ogl 0.21.213
(There doesn't seem to be any difference,
And the painting is broken with either of them.)

Sound
ZeroSPU2 Playground 0.4.6

Controller
OnePad 1.1.0
PS3 controller fully functional.

I read in some other threads that OSX Lion has OpenGL 3.2.
Would that help as well? I'm thinking of upgrading to Lion very soon.

I saw one other person who had the same problem but couldn't figure it out either.
What I'm hoping is that one of the settings in the graphics section or game fixes could help.
Or if there was another better graphic plugin available.

Thank you.
Nope, that looks like you've done all you can at this point. Upgrading to lion would most likely give a minor performance boost (it did for myself), but if you want the game to work you'll have to bootcamp your computer and get the windows version of pcsx2. Unfortunately the mac version of pcsx2 has rather low compatibility.
I see, thank you for your reply.
