Full Version: PCSX2 Runs at (at least) Twice the Speed it Should

I recently installed PCSX2 on my new PC, and every ISO I load runs at twice the speed, sometimes faster. I did a search on these forums and found no thread with a similar problem, so I post this in search of some help.

AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana 3.3GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
8gb DDR3 SDRAM 1333
ASUS 1GB GDDR5 Radeon HD 6770 series GPU
BIOSTAR A780L3B AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.
did you change any settings? because this seems as the frame limiter is off...
have you ticked the box in GS in emulation settings because that mean DISABLING Framelimiting

( which is responsible for running games @ 100% no more maybe less Wink )
I'm a born again rookie to emulation, haven't emulated since ePSXe years ago.

I didn't change anything at all, at least not on purpose. I'll check now to see if the frame limiter is off, will edit so as to avoid a double post.

EDIT- Hahahaha, yes I did check the disable framelimiter box. Not sure when I did it, but unchecking it solved the problem.

Thanks a lot for the quick and friendly responses guys, I appreciate it.

One other question, if you would be so kind, are there any issues with the emulator if I use an Xbox 360 controller as my input?
you could have pressed F4 without noticing...
no PCSX2 support all kinds of controller ! Smile
