The game isn't loading in PCSX2 for me so I can't test it myself, but I'm sure the patch works.

Of the archive? Sure.
Just remember to update the cheats_ws folder at least once a month or so.
We need more people using widescreen patches.
As soon as the next version of PCSX2 hits and is distributed, we'll see a big explosion in their popularity.
Umm i think its not working. Here's a capture from my PS2 (patching de ELF).
1080p through GSM. It have black bars on the sides.
Hi guys, want to report that MGS2 Sons of Liberty NTSC-U widescreen patch has a bug - projectors' and bulbs' lights are misplaced. This doesn't happen in 4:3 mode.

This problem can not be fixed on PS2 version of the game

Looks like it could be widescreen to me.
Did you compare it on/off? How about using ps2rd?

Common issue of GSM and the way how games get rendered on PS2, has nothing to do with Widescreen Hacks.

I allways use OPL. And as far as i know ps2rdmod cannot be launch with OPL.

Yes but it doesnt look widescreen anyway. At least to me.
I will try to compare it with non patched image tomorrow.
