Archive updated, not that many requests left now.

I agree.
Some patches are awesome and you can't tell that the game was not made for 16:9.
Some patches are pretty good with only minor issues with a game, like one thing misaligned in a menu or fmvs at the wrong proportion etc
Other patches still require more work, like a render fix or images overlapping in menus, cut off hud etc. Very noticeable and distracting issues.

Should a list be created for patches that need an update?

The majority of patches that need updates are already on the archive post:

"Soul Reaver 2 - The game's NTSC-U version is narrower than the PAL version."
"Nightmare Before Christmas - needs a render fix"
"Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory (PAL) - needs a render fix"
"Sly Cooper 1 (NTSC-U) - Reported to break second mission"

plus Drakengard 2 NTSC-U could be updated with the superior PAL values.
How about games like Downhill Domination needs a hud fix.
Starwars Battlefront 1 and 2 need a better render fix.
Hitman 2 needs a hud and subtitle fix as they are cut off.
Devil may cry 3 results screen overlay is 4:3
Prince of persia series, the pause menu is 4:3
and possibly many more
Hey people it's been a while but I'd like to convert some patches for NTSC-J.. If anyone has the games below and wants to help just follow these instructions:

1. Open game's ELF in ps2dis

2. Go to Edit > Jump to address

3. Enter address and copy/paste the original unique value string (meaning it doesn't appear more than once in the ELF)

Thanks!

And once again great job to everyone involved in fixing Baroque, even going beyond just adding widescreen... Maybe it's the biggest improvement I've seen on PCSX2

Archive updated with Soul Nomad PAL, and the Galerians: Ash NTSC-J patch above.

Synce, while you're at it, you might as well update Xenosaga 1-3 NTSC-J with the superior NTSC-U patches.

Yeah but I hadn't tested it enough, I think there were some glitches. Will try again later

@devina
If you mean nemesis' patches I tried one and didn't notice any difference... was there something wrong with mine? Haven't kept up with the thread

BTW if someone wants to help with Tekken 5 but doesn't want to copy all that stuff down you can just take a few screenshots of the ps2dis window.

Update: Galerians glitches still there

Thank you Devina for porting Soul Nomad, you've done an amazing job.

I've finished Way of the Samurai, unfortunately it's a vert- patch instead of a hor+ one. I couldn't find the Horizontal FoV for the life of me but I think it looks pretty good all things considering. I've also put the original values in the patch file so it can be ported to NTSC easier if anybody wants to.

I'm pretty sure they fixed some render and garbage during cutscenes. Just trust me, they're superior. I can't pinpoint the details though, but if you really love the Japanese versions of Xenosaga, you should do it anyway.

You're welcome, and thanks for providing the original values.

By the way, if you can find a zoom out code for Way of the Samurai, you can zoom out the camera distance and make it hor+ when combined with the verti-. My best bet to find a zoom code is 3F800000 (value 1), and change it to 3F400000 (value 0.75) in Cheat Engine, and see if the camera distance changes. It's usually in the 2xxxxxxx range.
