Hello~
Widescreen address is found immediately because it has a simple value
Hi,
I tried your patch but find it is not quite working. I am using 1.2.1 official release and put the patch in the cheats_ws.rar. The patch is loaded but the graphic seems just stretched. Am I do something wrong?

How do you know the patch was loaded? Did the console log say it?
Also, you don't have to put it in any rar, just the cheats_ws folder.

I see.. I have tested 4 stages. Fov address is changed by each stage.
Then re-make a ELF hack.

I know the patch is loaded by reading the dialog box of the emulator. When I use 1.2.1, I find that putting into cheats_ws is the way to us the widescreen patch. Let me know if I am wrong. Many thanks.

Thanks. Look forward to your great work.
(04-17-2014, 01:05 AM)devina40 Wrote: [ -> ]So I did some experimenting in KH2, I found the addresses for HUD faces in the bottom right (around the 21Axxxxxx range), just a simple 3F800000 to 3F400000, but whenever entering a new room, it always reverts back to stretched, and the address values around it seem to change as if they're dynamic. Ah well.
I messed with this. WAYYY to many setting to go through with the scale. they are in the files called 2ld. There are about 2 in each world. So you have to set them for each world. ...Good Luck

If you mean the in-car view then I feel like you can't do anything for that. The missing geometry is because the game has a different high-quality model for the in-car view that they simply didn't make anything for what is outside the 4:3 window. Anyway I don't think it's a big deal, that camera is almost useless in that game, it obscures way too much stuff on the sides of the screen which is pretty annoying.
So I guess even something like a render fix won't help.
