2. Why don't you just apply the *.pnach to your *.iso, using PS2 Patch Engine ? http://psx-scene.com/forums/f19/ps2-patc...ne-117652/ Does not hurt, since WS is supposed to be always enabled (thks again to pelvicthrustman for these great tools he provided).

***"The program doesn't work for hack XXXXX on game XXXXX!!!"
First try marking patches as "memory" (as described above), next try disabling 'Autohook' and entering a Mastercode. -pelvicthrustman***

Ps2rd .... I'll come back to that since you got it to work, one thing I did not try was add the "memory" value behind the first (or all three) line for Crimson Sea 2's pnach patch. Plus, I didn't try unchecking the "Autohook" in the .pnach patcher .................... (All of this is important, so I don't want to just jump to Ps2rd and call it a day, "Road Trip" as you know only works with Hdloader, but I guess there's a full spread of codes for it also a widescreen hack) ............. anyway I'll just edit this post if I find a working result.

***EDIT

RAW Codes (Converted from .pnach to .raw) are entered in first, without the mastercode, with "Autohook" unchecked, then when you press "patch", the pnach patch program asks you for a mastercode, I was trying to enter them all at once, be back later........................Finished, used 3 different mastercodes (RAW) along with the values in raw from the .pnach for Crimson Sea2, out of three mastercodes, two produced the black screen of death, and the third one produced the standard blackscreen ingame with the widescreen patch...................maybe game engine problem, except for ps2rd, I did try all the methods (Only Good News for Crimson Sea2 so far, "Controller Remapper" does work to fix inverted controls).
Ok, you found maybe an incompatible game. But PS2 Patch Engine works for most PS2 games - and patching the *.isos instead of using codes is by far more user-friendly - IMHO.
@psalmsamuel
I just got the iso of the game Crimson Sea 2 (SLUS 20877), and the widescreen patch works flawlessly. Fill your SLUS_208.77.cht file exactly as bellow (except the lines, that just indicates the begining and the end of the file):

This MUST work to you too. Please check again in "Cheat Settings" if "Enable PS2RD Cheat Engine" are marked as "ON" and "PS2RD Cheat Engine Mode" as "Auto-select Cheats", then go to "OK", and after, "Save changes".
I have a PS2 FAT console, using beta OPL Rev_953. The new versions of beta OPL (I haven't not tested yet) also have an option to enable cheats per game. If you decide to go to the new versions, please pay attention on that.
Hope it helps you.

yes, THANKS! |Laugh>- ... works

The game iso I'm using is patched with a .pnach from "Controller Remapper 1.2" to change the right joystick camera so its no inverted.  I'm using OPL 896_all (since the most recent update only changed the credits screen or something),  enabled the ps2rd option "autoselect" from the options of Open PS2 Loader, and it works for the game.  (created "SLUS_208.77.cht" from a notepad.txt file renaming the extention, then I entered the values in the bar).

Thanks wanted to fix that game for the PS2 for years (have the xbox version but it doesn't have the same feel, plus seems much more choppy), I don't remember, but I had that game since it came out, but later lost it or something, that was years before I hacked my ps2...............I'm even a tiny bit greedy and will try the same method Road Trip 2 a known incompatible Game with OPL.  However that will probably not work:

1. Echo Night Beyond (Widescreen Patch = Black Screen, almost like Crimson Sea 2, FAT PS2)
2. Midway Arcade Treasures (Widescreen Patch = Black Screen, almost like Crimson Sea 2, FAT PS2)

I believe these games can now work using the same method above, I'm going to try Echo Night Beyond, it also works with "Controller Remapper 1.2", I used that to fix the controls, so its like Crimson Sea 2, works Remapper but not with widescreen .pnach patch.  I'm going to test a few things and edit this post in a few hours,  I don't care about Midway Arcade Treasures since the widescreen patch is only for one of the games inside, so we'll see.

WORKS! LOL, used ps2rd cheat engine in Open Public Loader and widescreen works, does not work with .pnach patch. (Fat PS2, internal harddrive, game has pal/ntsc selector that works, widescreen both modes)..................Maybe you can add the TWO patches below to the Official Archive...................I think Echo Night needs a Render Fix, because the shadows get in the way, maybe just game engine, not a big problem, just turning off the flashlight in game seems to fix that problem.
I have a problem with Persona 3 FES Undubb, widescreen is not working, pcsx2 is not even detecting the .pnach widescreen file, it's not the case for the cheat.pnach file though.
PS: sorry if i'm not supposed to post here i'm new to the forum.

Found Cheats file: '970A1593.pnach'
Loaded 27 Cheats from '970A1593.pnach' at 'C:\Users\TAREK\Documents\PCSX2\cheats'
Overall 27 Cheats loaded
Overall 0 Widescreen hacks loaded

---------
already checked:
Enable cheats and Enable widescreen patches are both checked
CDVD Full/Fast output same as above.
Window Settings is set to Widescreen(16:9)
tried every region .pnach file (mine is NTSC SLUS_216.21;1)
tried to put the .pnach file into "\Documents\PCSX2\cheats_ws" (and \cheats) and also where pcsx2 is installed.
gametitle= Persona 3 FES   is same as ISO name (the .iso file was Persona3FesUndubb.iso so i changed it to match the .pnach)
i have pcsx2 1.4.0 with everything working fine (I'm using DX11 hardware, the game becomes black screen when using DX9 hardware, but that's not the problem that's bugging me)
You need to rename the CRC of the .pnach file to the CRC of the .iso

Sorry i messed up and replied to you in another thread,

Thank you for your reply, pcsx2 now detects it but it's still streched, i don't know why, here's my .pnach:

Thanks it worked !! (just needed to go to another area in the game after loading so the hack would take effect, so sorry for those other replies saying it didn't work)
Where did you find that patch? There's a newer one which unstretches Persona art. It's in the archive. There's a link to the archive in my sig.

I strongly recommend against downloading PS2 patches from ps2wide.net since all of them are in my archive, and the archive is kept up to date.
