And another one for the MilestoneOpt (aka debug build) that is leftover on the disc as 04PROST.BIN.

EDIT: I could extend this code even further to get the aspect ratio from the PS2 internal settings to make it work as intended. It'd be completely unnecessary but kinda cool as it's supposed to work that way (hence why there is no menu option).
Ayy, nice to see you lurking Xan!
Quote:While your patch will work, it's risky because it depends that the user profile is always loaded at that address (which it will be on PCSX2, but it may not be on a real PS2).
Yeah, the other issue I was thinking about is how the widescreen mode would be "permanently" saved to your profile using the patch I posted. Not the best solution in hindsight, but I didn't have the luxury of debug symbols like the recent work I did for Nascar 2005 on Gamecube.
I'll edit my original post so people know to use your patch instead.

Of course. Still, they often look so gorgeous that is worth it. Just in case you missed it someone posted the 21:9 patches for Ace Combat 4 and 5, and since I am here if you had any idea to get it for Ace Combat Zero that would be welcome as well.
I am still looking for a 21:9 code (or a tutorial to change these 16:9 codes to 21:9) for Ace Combat 4.
This code does not work for me for whatever reason. The 21:9 code causes all graphics to permanently glitch out when I change my camera mode as well, and even before that it doesn't appear to change the 16:9 aspect ratio at all.
I've noticed they are also using a different address than widescreen codes for Ace Combat 4 listed on PS2Wide.net

Previous patch from El_Patas fixed the widescreen in the NTSC mode only. Now here is an additional patch for the PAL50 mode, for the sake of completeness.

NTSC version has got widescreen functions left from the PAL version. They are hidden for the performance reasons probably, as the regular 4:3 NTSC viewport is zoomed in when compared with the PAL one.
EDIT: Patch has been replaced with a better version. Old one had to be executed before starting the game. New one does work straight after activation. If you want to disable the widescreen, turn off the patch and go to the graphics settings in game to reset the widescreen flag.
I just tested out with PS2 Patch Engine, but only for the widescreen code to not work after I patched the ISO with the code. I tested out on both PCSX2 and PS2 hardware and I really don't get how PS2 Patch Engine could not get this game to work in widescreen properly.

If I had to guess, looks like the codes only works during runtime which is why it doesn't work with patch engine (PS2 Patch engine only works with codes that already included on the game's ELF).
You'll have to use ps2rd for this.
Hello guys, I want to thank you for the great work they do for showing us our classics in 16: 9, I also want to ask for something, Pacman World 2 SCES_508.88, has a panoramic screen but only stretches the image vertically, the same happens with God of War 2 I would be very grateful if you give me the master code and the panoramic screen for Pac-Man World 2 SCES_508.88, thank you very much.

PS2 Patch Engine does support runtime patching. You can try to patch the ISO with the "memory" added at the end of line, like this:
Code:
patch=1,EE,002CA9D4,byte,01 memory
Old code was working fine when patched statically. This one is better suited for the PCSX2 or cheat engines.
I tried to play the PAL version of God of War with the included widescreen patch but the game refuses to start up. How can I fix this? I'm using dev build v1.7-2390 AVX2 64-bit.
Edit: I upgraded to 1.7-2410 but I Haven't tested GoW yet.
I join the request of @Godofredoss, please:
Pac-Man World 2 SCES_508.88, thank you very much in advance.
