yes but depends on game and graphic to get good result with low impact on fps, for exemple FFX native + x8 doesn't drop that much on fps but 1024*860 + x0 will have better image.
Well depends on what you call a better image. Are you looking for clarity or no annoying polygon crawl. I tend to like both so highest resolution I can run x4 at is where I run.

That "better" depends from person to person. I actually never liked just bumping internal-res up, it always showed jaggies. At that resolution you talk about, I can see them easily. Hell, I would be able to see them at 2048x2048, I still remember it. I can't wait to test it with first hack games.
Well it shows more and more smaller jaggies but also you get clear textures and such. Now you can have both.
everytime I Use DX11 it crashes, hw/sw doesn't matter. is it only the GTS/GTX series that can use this? (8600 GT 512 here)
All DirectX10 compatible cards can use it... But again, DirectX11 mode is very much alpha stage. There is nothing to be gained from using DX11 over DX10 at this stage unless you like the chance of random game crashes.
Gabest said earlier that it seems to only work with the beta DX11 in vista and not the one in windows 7 at the moment. He said he'd fix it when they got a final DX11dll revision.
DX11 in Vista? well, the beta in Vista and 7 should be exactly the same though. but that explains why it's crashing lol

... it works only with the SDK dll files so you need the directX SDK not vista... (because WIN7 uses the probably final dlls and they are still not compatible with the sdk)
so if you want to try DX11 install the directX sdk
