Won't happen because I don't like the new control center and old GPU + new drivers sometimes result in bad performance. Never change a running system
.
I don't expect support for my old drivers, I just wanted to report.

I've tried but they weren't recognized by PCSX2. Are old versions expected to be compatible with 0.9.7?

what if the drivers are the problem then? also new drivers are supposed to give speed even in older cards and give support to many more features (like some the pcsx2 needs). probably you never tried the latest drivers to compaire the results with the old.

Should be, do you get any error trying to load them or they just don't show up?
having the same problem, can't get dx10 option with GSDX 3068 SSE41 using pcsx2 0.9.7. Tried the newest drivers. The old GSDX 2693 SSE41 in pcsx2 0.9.7. shows the dx10 option.

You need to have Vista SP1 (or SP2 but I'm not sure), and the platform update for Directx11 besides of the regular DirectX updates.

oooh... right, ins't it now using DX10/DX11 hybrid code? (they are sufficiently similar where you can make one code-path for both)
It is called "platform update for windows vista / server 2008", it includes DX11 and a bunch of other tech for windows 7...
here are instructions:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971644
AFTER install that, make sure you also update your directX to February 2010 version:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...6652cd92a3
That's probably right, dx10 showed up after I did the 3 optional updates from windows update (which included the platform update). odd thing is that the platform update didn't show up on my first update yesterday and showed up when I checked update today so you might need to check update again.
