use the AVX one for sandy bridge, SSE4 for i5 1st gen.

Wasn't AVX software only?Tongue Then SSE4 still best for SB.

there are quiet a few cell shaded game that use that effect, that have that problem only way I found to make those scenes work, was to switch from Hardware to software, I think that is F8 or F9 and switch back to hardware when scene is done

? The AVX version simply boosts the software renderer speed and includes all the other optimizations.

by how much? Does it make software playable on any non OCed CPUs?

well, what about demanding games.
Can it play okami on a non OCed i5 2500K or and i7 2600K?

And what if you increase the resolution? native res looks terrible. I prefer 3x native when I am playing.
