I thought Automatic fixes is supposed to enable them as needed More specifically the Fix that Runs FMV in Software mode? cause FMV at least the the game i play that use it dont actual switch to software mode for FMV under Automatic fixes. Or is it not what i think it is If only applied to know game with issue. I would think This should be applied to any game with FMV as they look better in software mode anyway.
Yeah but not all setups are able to catch up in software mode as in hardware mode so it defeats the purpose unless its a game that renders incorrectly all FMVs in hardware mode, like FFX-2 and even then people may not want to switch to Software mode because they prefer a buggy FMV than an FMV that will take forever to end on their setup.
That explains that I was always under the assumption with Automatic fix on it was swap all FMV to Software mode untill i saw corruption in FMV and noticed it wasnt in software mode
Small patch for Persona 3, when using the alpha stencil hack used to fix the battle shadows, it introduces problems on the out of battle player shadows (turns them green/purple etc). It was annoying me lol, this fixes it, if anyone would like to use it.
When Gsdx author Gabest will come online on this forum ?
He is doing commits on automated pcsx2 builds

Interesting, out of curiosity what is this hack doing exactly in order to fix it? (I haven't looked at it yet myself, and don't have the time at the moment to do so. But I'm intrigued.)
I just changed the alpha test value to always check, in the stencil hack code section. I was just trying it as a test at the time, and it worked. You would be using that hack anyway, to fix the battle shadows, but now it fixes all shadows. I might have a look at trying to sort out the DDS, Nocturne, etc ones when I get a chance, so they don't need to be reduced to 0 alpha with memory hacks. It's not the exact same problem, if that's what you were wondering.

For now, I've been having a look, trying my hand at improving the Shadow Hearts Covenant battles. That half screen glitch in HW mode is bloody annoying me >.<
Shadow Hearts Covenant is bugged? Blergh.. I haven't played that in years, but was interested in a replay recently.. Well good to know in advance I guess, better than starting it without knowing and letting my OCD nature drive me bonkers trying to fix it. lol
Also yea, the DDS and SMT3 stuff is pretty hacky.. I'd like a cleaner solution myself with that. Frankly though it was such a hassle to narrow it down that far that I was just happy to finally play the game without the weirdness. It's really cool to see P3 shaping up to emulate so well now too by the by, little hacks or no to get it there it used to be a pretty big mess in regards to graphical errors.
If you get anywhere with Shadow Hearts Covenents, please make sure to pm me or something. Tried my luck with it also and got nowhere.

Sure, will do.
Could you maybe tell me a few things that you tried?, so I'm not wasting my time trying the same stuff, that you already tried lol.
