The blurry games use an effect that shifts the image a bit, creating a nicer look on original hardware.
Unfortunately that doesn't work well with upscaling. It usually creates blur, double images, those lines in Tekken 5.
So in this case, DOA2 simply looks better because it's less "optimized" for PS2
Is it possible to have an option to remove the blur effect?
I know that in FFX you can remove it by using Skipdraw 1, I'd say give it a shot?

Unfortunately skipdraw doesn't seem to work in Tekken 5 but maybe this sort of thing can be patched out via ELF hacks

Those black lines will go away if you use a custom resolution of 1200x whatever or 1260 x whatever.
IF the blurryness is the same as in Soul Calibur III, then try using the TC offset X and Y hack.

Your best bet is just to use 480p output and set GSdx internal resolution to 1920x1080.

Nvidia gpu? Driver past 320.49? if so it driver bug in the last 4 or so nvidia drivers. Use DX9 GSDX for workaround
