Correction on FFX, it seems to have fixed the issue with image doubling in certain scenes if you don't have skipdraw 1 enabled.
I just played through the intro and the scene where Tidus meets Bahamuts fayth in childform blurs as expected. but does not double the image.
Doesn't fix games like Tekkin and Soul Calibur though..

Really? Can somebody check god of war with scaling on too?
The namco problem is different so it won't help there I suspect.
Thanks for testing, guys. This was only an experiment. But seeing as it seemed to make the scaling in my games better, I said I'd upload it for some tests. To note: it also seems to sort out the outlining on some games around the edge of the frame (you'd normally need to set the zoom to like 100.5 or something to sort it). Doesn't appear to happen for me with this.
I'm still not sure if what I'm doing is mental or not though. I'm only changing the base for the scaling, that's all. Instead of using 640 width, and 512 height, I'm calling to GPUDrawingEnvironment, and using GetDisplayRect() .width, and .height for the base lol.
That's all Greek to me. But i think i get it (correct me if I'm wrong)
before regardless of the games internal resolution, it used 640*512 to scale, which most games use i believe.
Now it grabs the resolution from an output of GSDX before it's scaled, than uses those numbers to scale it. Correct?
Because if thats the case. that would explain why FFX gets the blur fixed as it's a 512*512 game. So before the scaling was slighty off.
I think gabest just took the common size so using the actual size will be better, im sure there was a comment somewhere about it because it can change or something. But definitely cool if it works!
Wow. It just keeps getting better.
The new scaleing defiantly make games look much clearer, you been busy Asmodean
1.2.0 keeps getting sweeter and sweeter!
This is worth checking out, yea.
Not sure if all these test changes are a good idea for 1.2 though, there's not enough time for broader testing.
Could you link to the lines you changed, Asmodean?
These are just experiments btw, I'm obviously not suggesting whether to include them into 1.2, or not. I'm only trying stuff out. Patch with wip changes is below, if you want a look.
My display is artifacting atm >.> is why I've not been replying much. Is what you get when you buy a no-name brand display lol.
