It does, that's the point in the gamefix
I think the console messages were removed as GSDX was changed to show the renderer changed, but i'm wondering if there's a path it can take where it doesn't show the message or update the window.

If it did I never noticed it doing automatic, cause I always had to hit f9 manual. There should maybe be UI overlay in game that states if render mode is changed. same for any seeting that can be change on the fly, would be usfull in windowed (fullscreen)
I made a video to show what is happening, it seems that GSDx isn't aware that Kingdom Hearts 1 is playing an FMV and thus never switches the rendering mode. I tried Tekken Tag and Kingdom Hearts 2 and the switch works as expected, the console reports the switch both on and off. There may be other games that use a similar compression technique as Kingdom Hearts 1 that are also experiencing the issue. I know that I have cheats enabled in the video, but disabling them made no difference to the FMV switch.
Is there some way to export screenshots in GSDx in a format other than bmp? I absolutely do not need files that large.
I know ZeroGS allows for jpg's but trading all the benefits of GSDx for easier screenshotting would be sorta stupid.

I guess you could just convert it in Paint or Photoshop or something. I do think that PNG should be the format used, though.

Well I've been doing that but I was wondering if I could save a few steps. Oh well I guess.
Hello, I've been using PCSX2 for years with my current configuration, but after the death of my hard disk I had to reinstall it.
Now as I try to complete the first time configuration wizard I get aked to update DirectX, but when I try to do that the installer says my DirectX is up to date.
If I refuse to update I get this error:
What would be the issue here? It happens with all three GSdx plugins.
There's no way whatsoever my hardware doesn't support any of them, I've been using PCSX2 with this same hardware for years.
I've already tried uninstalling PCSX2, deleting everything related, and reinstalling from a newly downloaded exe, and I've installed every file from the first post here aside from the Vista update because I'm using 7.
Yes I have. Tried both that and the webinstaller version linked by the configuration wizard.
