OGL HW works fine for me in most other games I've tried. I mention it specifically because it's such a large increase in GPU utilization during specific scenes. At native resolution, GPU utilization jumps from about 20% to 85%, above that it maxes it out obv., same for GS% readings.
I'm not asking how to make it playable, I know how do that, I'm merely pointing out something that seems off in case something can be done to improve it.
It is easy, Nvidia GL speed is comparable to DX speed. So either my GL backend is slow, then you can conclude that GL is much faster than DX. Or you can conclude that AMD driver is subpart.
New GL accuracy options require more draw call therefore more CPU. Good driver is a minimal requirement.
Honestly it is already a miracle that GSdx-ogl can run on AMD cards.

and we cant wait to see how good opengl runs in comming months. well at lest i cant, i been waiting years to see opengl speed on par wit dx11 and imo it was worth the wait
In MGS3, the opening cutscene has the sun flare blooming way too high in software mode. Can this be fixed to make it look more accurate?
In hw mode it is the same or it even looks worse?
Try to play with vu rounding and clamping.
I'm pretty sure HW looks worse as it lacks texture cache emulation

No it does not. There are just some issues with it.
Hi I have a problem with PCSX2 , Yesterday I formatted my Laptop and after that I install all the app I have before , like PCSX2 now I played some games PCSX2 runs the games great like tekken 5 and shadow of the colossus , now today there was an update of Nvidia Graphic Card , I updated it, and then I played games on PCSX2 but the picture keep on "flickering" I dont know if thats the right word, but its like framerate problem which i dont have before, now I tried playing Tekken 5 , SoC, GTA San Andreas the screen flicker from time to time, I dont know how to fix it. Please help.
get the latest development build and try the opengl mode, make sure the "threading optimization" is on in the nvidia control panel.

Some issues? Grandia 3, Grandia 2 are still missing correct battle transition effects in hardware mode, I highly doubt they can ever be fixed in HW mode, that's just my take on it.
