I just got a new Computer from a friend and i've been wondering if it can handle PCSX2 Games with the following Features

I currently Have 1,5gb Ram... Im going to Upgrade it to about 6gB ram

CPU: Intel Pentinum ® 3,40ghz Dualcore

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+

Lets assume I have 4gb Ram..

Will it Do?
Dualcore ?
No.
Or yes, so bad.
Even a core2duo very well overclocked can't run well many games.
yea(gpu is still ok for many games @native or 2x resolution), just to be sure, what dualcore exactly have the pc?

R are single cores they suck i had a D and it was stink !!!

for PC games it should be probably OK but for PCSX2 forget it !!!
Depends on the game
If it's Pentium E, yes for some games. If it's Pentium D then forget it. Sad

Is there any Pentium E model that is clocked at 3.4 Ghz?
Iirc none, only the pentium D is 3.4, ofc this dual can be an oc one.

Pentium E have the same architecture as a Core2duo right !!!AFAIK

because D is a Dual too Smile
No.
A proc with 2 core dont mean its the same as a c2d. I3 have 2 core too and its as powerfull as a big core2quad.

Pentium E5XXX and E6XXX are Wofdale-3M Core 2 Duo dies without SSE4.1 and 1MB L2 cache deactivated. Same story with the E2XXX Pentiums (they are conroe cores with L2 cache disabled).
