Performance gain then is near 10%

a Phenom II is more powerful than E5XXX and kind of head to head with the E8XXX core to core ( unless you thought it was Phenom I )
and it's not that old only 4-5 years old compared to the E5XXX

Considering intel released the i series & moore's law, 4-5 years is old for a cpu.
Provided he's still trying to run rhe games he already mentioned, this "new" cpu wont help either.
