I'm trying to configure PCSX2 and I keep getting slow motion. I've tried a few "solutions", but they don't work. I'm wondering if it's my computer?

Windows Vista 32-bit
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.8GHz
3.00 GB RAM
Ati Radeon HD 5770

What could possibly be wrong?
your AMD's CPU is way too slow get a a decent 3.2 equivalent CPU
In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Thank You.

I put the speed hacks to max.
I'm trying to play Shadows of the Collossus for ISO and Burnout Revenge for DVD.
you are then trying to run a demanding game (Burnout) or an extremely demanding game (SotC) on quite an old rig.

don't set speedhacks to max, it'll slow the game down even more.
just try them 1 by 1. Vu cycle stealing works great on SotC

what about to Copy them to ISO files on your Harddisk which PCSX2 can read them directly Smile

use the free program Imgburn
set EE cyclerate 2 and VU cycle stealing 1.tick native resolution in gsdx, tick the recommended speedhacks and use directX 11 harware rendering. Finally make an iso and run the game from your HDD.
