This program seems to shut down everytime after I leave theconfiguration screen. Does anyone have an idea of what may be causing this? I am on windows 7 using a pentium 4 processer, radion 100 whatever graphics , im sort of a newbie, sorry. I can give more details if need be. Please help if it is all possible.
shuts down how? is it crashing and u are getting message that it crashed?
what did u do in the config screen? have u changed any settings?
if u open the config screen and quickly press cancel does it still shut down?
when u make changes in the settings are these changes saved or no?
can u run games?
did u try uninstalling and reinstalling?
tried installing it in c:\pcsx2 ?
tried rightclick->run as admin on pcsx2.exe ?
ok.... i tried running as admin, i didnt change anything in the config screen, i tried uninstalling, reinstalling. also, it just says unidentified error when it shuts down. it just shuts down, that is about all it says. the other thing, it had to download directx the first time i tried to install it.
did u install the directx or cancel it?
if u cancelled it then that's why it is shutting down
u are using windows 7. it uses directx11. pcsx2 uses directx9 and not directx11 thus you need to install directx9
uninstall, reinstall, put directx 9 when it asks u then try it
that works also, but shouldn't the web installer of directx which gets run during the pcsx2 setup detect which windows u have and download the correct version?
i ran the web installer on both 32 bit and 64 bit machine. it got the correct version for each one
provided the web installer didn't work for some reason, better try instaling each component separately
