I was just wondering, does anyone ever mess around with the ps2 bios settings? I noticed that theres an option when you press /_\ triangle on the main menu for "version" and then press it again on the play station driver (I myself have 1.11) there are 2 options one for disc speed and one for texture mapping. They are currently both set to standard, but they can be changed. Does this matter and if so would it help to emulate things better or should I just leave it alone on default? Just curious...
it's only for psx support of the ps2 or so i've heard XD
not used so it won't matter what you set there (again : or so i've heard)
Indeed. Those options influenced how the PS2 operated when playing PSX games. Since Pcsx2 does not run Psx games, the options are moot.
heheh... this question is very similar to my question in previous thread.
Yes it is.
For clarification, the options helped Psx games look slightly better and run slightly faster (but with some side effects in some games). That was on the actual PS2. Pcsx2 does not emulate PSX games so the options are ineffective.
Something similar has PSP for PS1 games
