Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone can give me recommended PCSX2 1.0.0 settings for my PC? I have played Devil May Cry 2 with 55+ fps moving around in most areas, mid 40 - 50s when fighting, and 20-30 when an item such as a red orb gets introduced for the first time (wth?). I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has suggestions on trying to maintain a stead 50+ fps. I understand that may be too much so just tell me if I will be unable to run it that well.

OS: Windows 8
CPU: i7 3630 Quad core 2.4 GHz (3.4 GHz with turbo boost)
GPU: nvidia GTX 660 2GB dedicated
RAM: 8GB

If there is anything I can do with my computer's general settings instead of just PCSX2 configurations, that would be great too (although probably won't do much) Thanks all!
These things will/might help:
-Use speedhacks.
-Lower the PCSX2 resolution.
-Disable all antivirus/firewalls.
-Disable all automatic updates.
-Close programmes running in the background.
-Try game-optimizing software like, maybe Gamebooster.

Or you can allways go for overclocking. I suppose it is a desktop ?
It's actually a laptop. I know laptops aren't great for gaming, but it's just something on a side from schoolwork. Will work on a powerful desktop in a couple of years but I just want to get the best that I can at the moment. And I actually greatly improved the performance by downloading the latest svn ^^. Thanks anyways! I'll use your advice in conjunction with the improvements.
AFAIK your laptop is quite good with those specs Smile

Thanks for everyone who contributed! After tweaking around with some settings (including making sure my GTX 660 is being used) I am able to play at steady fps above 50, usually 60 Smile Heck Shadow of the Colossus can be played at 1366 x 768 without any EE or VU cycling!

**Only thing I'm worried about is CPU temperature which shouldn't be surprising since I'm running on a laptop. Does anyone suggest what temperature should I keep it under? After 5 min of SoC it goes up to 70C, haven't had time to do further testing. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can answer since laptop health > emulation Tongue
