i was able to get it running, there is alot of missing graphics and such. what can be done?

the best things to do would be :
- install windows via bootcamp, and use pcsx2 for windows
- use latest 0.9.7 beta instead of 0.9.6
- avoid reading Leonardo's comments

Actually, Windows version is 1.0.0

Er. Yeah.
use 0.9.7 beta instead of 0.9.6, if you want to keep using the mac version .
