Hi all,

i want to play god of war 1, but my problem is that i get only 12fps ?!?
Can u give me ur config und revs, that i can play that? I got this version: SCUS 97399

My rig:
Intel Core2Duo E6750 @3,2Ghz
4GB DDR2 800mhz
Gigabte P35-DS3R
2x 500GB HDD
ATI HD4730 512MB DDR5
Windows 7 64bit

from my knowledge and experience this are the most important options when it comes to having improved performance



Also make sure your GSDX graphics plugin is not set to Software mode, since it takes some damn beast PC to run it that way. Make sure it's set on Hardware mode.

Other than that i dunno. My rig runs god of war 1&2 at acceptable framerates.Similar to a 30FPS game. So it's pretty good, considering i dont have a very good CPU.

does anyone get a game freeze and an error when reaching the temple of pandora?????????????

Hi everyone,

the game works now with 50-60fps. Thx Smasher4y for ur support.

But now the game freezes at the old man who dig a grave at the temple of oracle. I use pcsx2-r1888 and the iso is also toxic patched.
Can anyone help me with that problem. I found no solution here!

I found a solution.

Turn Widescreen off in the game, not in the emulator and it will work.

first of, great work and keep doing it!

Problem:

iam totaly new to the pcsx2 scene but i hope i can get some awnsers here since i went through all 103 pages (some carefully others not :>) and didnt find a soution. I got my copy of GoW 1 and wanted to test it, so i did the config discriped in this thread but my game is not even starting, i mean, i get into the ps2 bios etc but i just cant start the game.

My Question: am i maybe using the wrong cddvdrom plugin? (Currently Linuz iso cddvd 0.8.0) or can it be something else? Since iam new to all this i do not know what kinda infos u need, so if u are willing to help let me know and ill provide them.

You haven't configured your CDVD plugin properly. Better read the guide: http://pcsx2.net/guide.php

u were right, and its working now but there is still one problem, when it comes to a fight against more than 2 monsters its starts to lag, hard, i checked my gfx config and my speedhack stuff (both configured through this thread)

what ver of gsdx ar u using ??? cause i got that last ver and i have no chance to config pixel shader anyway - try switch off native and use something else like 2048x2048 , disable some speed hacks - help me whit blinking enemies , try the newest oficial plugin , but i have some troubles whit it - some cutscenes get stucked , anyway you can pass them whit your plugin , save , than continue whit the new one and you can also try something in cpu config . Peace ...

hello everyone , im posting this cos i didnt found solution yet..
namely , u all know cutscene hang problem in GOW2 , now perseus cutscene , ok , i skiped it with no problem , turned off patch and disabled afterwards. now the next cutscene with statue and lasers from eyes when u break barier , video hangs if i leave it but not like before , it makes ugly sound like cd is damaged and freezes. i tryed to skip and it does that but wont let me control kratos , just stands like that.

if anyone knows how to solve this pls post
