Once the box is checked, how do you actually do it. It will not let me select more than one PS2 key.

The simpler way is using third part hotkey programs, like "autohotkey". It's a powerful program I use despite having both, keyboard and mouse, macro capable. I heard about other programs to do similar things and probably simpler but I don't known them.
