OK, that works. It's weird that make install doesn't simply copy the bin directory... whatever, now I can feel the improvement. It works much better than in the last unstable build in your repository, gregory. Perhaps because you try to make it as general as possible? The graphics are still slower than in Windows, but I guess it's expected due to the hardware OpenGL is still VERY experimental on Linux while it's quite mature on Windows. In fact, the software OpenGL having stable >50 FPS is surprising (doesn't seem to match the real graphics speed though).
That strange I didn't expect any speed change. What is your GPU?
