No matter how many battles I fight Karin does not level past level 4. she seems to get no exp.

The rest of the party is leveling normal..

She stays in the party I have never removed her, every one else is level 11 or 12, and she just stays at 4.

Does anyone know what cause's this ? and maybe how to fix it ?

Are you using any cheats for this game at all?

Yes I did not place them in the cheat folder until after I had played a little ways into the game, then attempted to use the quick level .Pnach some one had posted here, but it must have troubles, or something with my ISO. [ Shadow Hearts 2 Disc 1 [NTSC] ].

Or it may have been I placed it in to early, and should have waited until after Paris when the group was finally a stable 4 characters in the party.

It is a wonderful game, but much of it is very laborious, and I wanted to fast level just a little to rush through some of the early parts of the game. some quick power leveling would have been nice Smile

I decided that was maybe the problem.. I was never accusing PCSX2 of any problem, just wishing or hoping some one had encountered this, and maybe found a fix.

It was probably entirely my fault.

I finally gave up, and started a new game, no cheats, except I used cheat engine to get money. and she is leveling properly in this game.

Disable cheat and then try again.

Yes the first thing or one of the first things I tried was disabling the cheats, I even removed the PNACH completly from the cheats folder, but my save I guess was so bugged that it would not help.

I finally just gave up, and restarted the game, I have sense made it past the Problem saves position in the game, and over written the cheat diseased save game.
so all is good I guess. I would like to use the power level cheats, but am afraid to try them now Smile

And the cheat I found only had power level, or quick level for 2 of the characters anyway [ And for me never worked Sad

] . I had asked if anyone had some, but every one always points to the same PNACH file which only has 2 of the character's quick level in them. I believe Karin, and Yuri.

It would be nice to have for the NTSC-U version [of Shadow Hearts Covenant] quick level cheat for all characters, and maybe the money cheat. that is all I normally really desire for most Grind your butt off RPG games. So I can enjoy the story, with out so much of the torturous dungeon wandering. ( turning off the cheat at some point when I feel I have leveled enough to meet the game need in order to continue the Story )

I don't understand fully how the cheats work in PCSX2
[ I have used them in other PCSX2 games with little problem, but shadow Hearts games seem more tricky for me ],

Shadow hearts Covenant was a 2 disk game, and I wonder if somehow that might have something to do with why the .pnach cheats I have found don't work.

Wondering if they might be first or second disk related ?

I dont think 2 discs matter. I played Xenosaga III (2 disc game) with the same pnach file without issue. Perhaps you have a bad cheat?

I can take a look if you want to post it. I actually have played Shadow Hearts Covenant with cheats before without issue before but that was way back in the 0.9.8 days Smile

That is why most of the cheats are disabled with the //

This game has two address set of cash and items, Nicolai and Yuri part, but characters status address are the common.

For example:
Nicolai/Yuri part Cash address is 102D34/102D30.
Nicolai/Yuri part Thera Leaf address is 100DEC/100BEC.

I have no idea about Quick Level Gain.

There are characters EXP code if you need.

I have noticed right now is that Quick Level Gain means EXP. :-)

I have tried using 5F5E0FF (99,999,999), it doesn't work (Nothing has changed), but 4C4B40 (5,000,000) is work (LV 95).

It seems 5F5E0FF (99,999,999) is too big to work.
