My computer is somewhat of an older machine. Here are the specs.

GeForce 8800 GTS
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Duel Core 4600+
8.00GB RAM
Windows 8

If I need to change some settings or something to that effect then let me know.

We have a thread for this kind of question.

But no, that computer is far too slow to run PCSX2. No settings will help you out, unfortunately.

The emulator will run alright, but the majority of the games available will be on the slow side Tongue
I had a 4600+ a long time ago when the emulator was still on 0.9.5/6 and I could play certain games.

Final Fantasy X works fine and I managed to play God of War 2 with minimal slowdowns.
You may have been able to play god of war back on 0.9.5 but due to increased accuracy it has higher requirements now. To the OP, I'm sorry to say that your pc will be far too weak for many of the games. I have a pc with an althlon 64 x2 4400+ and I could play games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom hearts 1 at 40-60 fps but those are extremely easy to run.
Higher accuracy yields higher performance issues? Thought it would be opposite...

If you increase accuracy by adding more code it can cause slowdowns.

Without the addition of the SPU2 there were many games that were broken but the games that were fine would benefit from a speed increase because that is less load on the CPU.

there was no diffrence in load if i run 0.9.8 and stable 1.0.0!
