Try to boot mgs2 (applies to all games i've tried) through cdvd plugin. The bios comes up along with the PS2 logo, then just a black screen.
Tried the mpeg skip, does nothing.
Tried to boot through the iso selector. Same as the plugin.
need some help

Just to make sure - you are trying to boot an ISO image of the disc, not from the actual DVD right?
Also have you tried "Boot Fast" instead of "Boot Full" ?
What version of PCSX2?

Yes, it is a disc image file.
Yes, i've both boot fast and full.

What games have you tried besides MGS2?

Also, please post the emulog.txt which is in PCSX2/logs on a portable version and My Documents/PCSX2/logs on the installed version.

portable version means you just extracted the files from a zip file and put them where you want.
install version means you ran an installer.

Log shows that you are running from a disc in drive F, not an iso. And I see:

CDVD READ ERROR, sector = 0xfffd0011
Type stuff.
Also, I didn't mean you had to post both logs. I was just telling you where to find the log depending on which version of PCSX2 you were using.
