Full Version: Segmentation fault trying to load a game

Hello Everyone,

First of all I wanna point that I've been looking on the net for 3 days before starting a new post, I made lot of researches on the site but couldn't find anyone with my same error, some were similar but just not like mine.

So, here's my problem.

I'm trying to run final fantasy x on my macbook pro : i installed xquartz, the nvidia plugins and 2 versions on pcsx2 : the beta one and the v0.9.7.
(the beta version was the first and when i saw i couldnt get it to work i tried with a different one with the same result).

So the program loads perfectly, i know it because if i chose "Run Bios(No Disc)" it will load the ps2 menu.

But then, when i try to lead the .iso of the game i get there errors :

Use the latest PCSX2 v1.0.0 and try it out.
If that doesn't work, try using the latest SVN and compile it for Mac.

If that still doesn't work, then repost here with your full specs.
1.0.0 doesnt exist for Mac.
The main source isnt made to be compiled for mac either.

Now, please explain OP how to do what you suggested...
Stefx, Segmentation faults are usually caused by bad rips. You will likely need to re rip your game Smile

Also, this issue is rather common, so it is rather wierd if you have not found any clues as to what was causing it...
