Hi.. im new to the forums and well, the only reason I have been on these forums for the past 3 weeks was to find a fix for said game. So far, I've seen people accidentally fix their problems without any said effort. "Oh I did something and it worked but now this and that...". I played through Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.. as well as God of War 1 with no issues whatsoever.. but for some reason on GoW2 it tends to get stuck after the first cinematic. I've extracted the file to .iso so I could actually start it up (dvd9). Im using the 1.0 version r5350 launcher.. with no resullt to everything I've found so far. It is the actual game of GoW2 that I've extracted and I'm starting to believe the only way it would be playable would be to be completely rewritten without .mpeg at all. Like I've stated, I've tried everything, lurked for 2-3 weeks for a fix, to no resolution. Is it the IMGBURN im using or something wrong with my specs?

Im on:
Win 7 x64
I7 920 @2.6
AMD Radeon HD 7950
9g Ram at 256.

The specs on the pcsx2 emulator 1.0 r5350 are as default after download. I switched every little thing around for something of value.. but decided to change it ALL back to default so I can get a proper run through on what to do.

Unable atm but it doesn't change at all. It acts as if the rest of the game is just nonexistant.

Still there can be some hint what is wrong.

Maybe you use the internal (i7) gpu instead of your dedicated one?
Do you use Savestates?
There is also some skipmpeg hack...

emulog might help

I've tried the skip mpeg hack, why is it only this game?
Why would I have to use my i7 instead of my radeon?

(Edit By "not changing" meaning it stops reading what is going to be next. Which in turn leaves me to say it acts as if the rest of the game is non existant. With consistant 60 fps and max gpu usage, it is stuck in a black screen.

Can you post pics of your settings and we will likely need the emulog when you are able to post it.

you didn't rip your DVD correctly since it's detected as a single layer DVD
