Hello guys,

I am having issues and have been looking for a solution online for a few hours now, basically what's happening is - I set everything up as said in the tutorial, it launches with no issues, but when I try to boot (be that a fast or a full boot), even with no Disc, it gives me the error message:

"pcsx2-r5350.exe has stopped working"

I have a Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit, an i7-3520M CPU @ 2.90GHz processor with 4GB Ram and a GeForce GT 630M 2GB - Granted, it's a laptop, but I would expect it to run past this.

It doesn't really seems to make a difference whether or not I change the settings from the default ones, it seems to be doing the same thing regardless of that. I also tried running it in compatibility mode with XP, no luck with that either. Any ideas of what I should do to have this fixed?

Any help will be appreciated, thank you very much!
Can you please post the emulog.txt after the crash and any non default settings?

These kinds of errors can be tricky to track down and resolve. Try some of these...

Make sure you have adequate cooling as sometimes pcsx2 will crash on laptops because of this.
Make sure you use DirectSound or PortAudio in your sound plugin.
Keep power manaement to high performance.
The thing is, it doesn't even initialize, to think the cooling isn't well - it doesn't even get to a point where it'd matter. It starts up fine, but if I try to boot (even with no CD as I mentioned), that's where it crashes. I'll edit my post with a picture of the Audio Settings in just a few moments.

Try changing from Directsound to the first option.
Yep. Try Xaudio. If that fails google for Directx web installer and run that.

That's what I had in the beginning, but with that I get another error message after which the same crash happens immediately after:

Going to try this next, I'll post how it goes right away.

PS: Thanks for such a quick response.
Yeah, that seems like you need to update directx
also make sure you have an audio output enabled, if there is no speakers or headphones enabled or anything, it will fail to work.
