Using playground builds 528, 566 and the original VM exe. All the character models and sometimes the backgrounds constantly flicker. Using latest GSdx. Tried with all&none speed hacks, cpu options, frame skip, VU skip, no skip. I thought FFX was one of games that ran well on pcsx.

It does run well. Have you tried using the NLOOP hack for the GSDX plugin? You might also want to update your Directx.

Try toggling through all the Interlacing by pressing F5, some people tend to get that problem.
